A special weekend.

We had a big weekend. We celebrated my new age of 26 and our last weekend being a family of only two.

Baby Allred will be here in just four days. We're headed to the hospital Wednesday night to get this party started. The doctor says that I will have him sometime on Thursday, October 9th. We can't believe it's already here... and coming a week or two sooner than anticipated. Words can't express how we feel... we can't believe that we'll actually be bringing home a little person to join our family in just a few days. We're so excited to meet him.

We decided to be induced a few days early due to some MAJOR finals and midterms that Jordan has coming up. These tests fall right in the middle of our official due date and the entire week after. We'll be all by ourselves for the first week of his little life... so we "all" needed each other to stick together and be very much available as much as possible! ;) Dee and Gaylyn... (GG and Papa Dee) fly out a week later and my mommy patti will come at the end of the month. My parents are in Europe this month picking up my cute brother, Tanner, from his mission in Paris. Great timing huh?!... We all know =) My parents will actually fly over us on their way to Europe the night we go to the hospital. Remember to wave mom and dad!
We walked around the entire city yesterday and finally during dinner last night I thought I was going into labor. I'm not kidding... of course it was a false alarm.
A WATER ICE stop on my birthday. What is water ice you ask? Come to Philly and find out... we didn't know it existed until we moved here. It's like ice cream and a snow cone but it's neither... it's water ice and is quite delicious.

His room is pretty much done... minus a few odds and ends

I'm dying for a close up of the nursery though. It looks great.. but the photo doesn't enlarge. It's all so exciting.

Can't wait for the details of how all plays out on Thursday. :)
