We spent last weekend in Brunswick Maine to celebrate the last of the Allred Brothers to graduate. Congrats to Parker, the most recent graduate from Bowdoin College (he's followed in the footsteps of two older and wiser Allred legends.) We had a wonderful weekend enjoying family, lobster, shopping, and tassels. I enjoyed photographing the campus and events and wanted to share some of my favorites of a beautiful little college hidden in Brunswick Maine.
The building you see above is Massachusetts Hall 1799-1802. This was the original Bowdoin College (the first building) Massachusetts Hall is still in use today and stands as a landmark on campus.
The chapel on the left stands in the middle of campus and looks out toward the courtyard. The tower bells chime on the hour.
The image below is my favorite building on campus. Hubbard Hall
Prior to the ceremony, a band leads the professors, graduating students, and alumni in a parade walk around campus. All three Allred bothers were able to walk together. Pretty spiffy indeed...
